The Purity of Frankincense

Frankincense (Boswellia carterri) is extracted from the sap that is secreted by the Frankincense tree. It’s name comes from the term “franc encens” which is French for “high-quality” incense.” “Franc” means pure while “encens” means “to burn”. Historically it was considered the most desirable of all other incenses because it was considered a “pure incense”.
