The Many Healing Properties of Jasmine
Originally believed to have originated in the Himalayas of Western China, Jasmine (Jasminum grandiflorum) is an evergreen shrub with star shaped flowers. This dainty yet fragrant flower is known as the “Queen of Flowers”. In India it is a sacred flower known as "moonlight of the grove", and is traditionally woven into bridal wreaths. Although widely known as an aphrodisiac, Jasmine is a much underutilized ally for women and female reproductive systems. The plant aids to harmonize the menstrual cycle, PMS, and relieve cramps. It has also been used medicinally as a remedy for depression, anxiety, stress and insomnia for thousands of years. In parts of Asia a good hostess makes sure to have Jasmine on hand to give to inebriated guests to clear their heads. Check out our Jasmine & Clary Sage solid perfume below!
